Lucia Ramirez is the Inspiration behind The Unity in Community Foundation, we are thankful for her!

I am so blessed.

I would like to thank Tom Brimie, Rose Rodriguez and the Unity in Community Foundation for making the Nov. 12 fundraiser possible. Also, I would like to thank the community for coming together to support me. This community is very united and you can always find support and love in a time of need. I am truly touched to see that so many people are supporting me in conquering this disease. You have earned a special place in my heart and I am the luckiest person in the world because I have a community that is very inspiring, generous and so willing to help people in their most difficult time of their life. You truly inspire me to keep fighting. Thanks for bringing me hope and for showing me that I am not alone. As a community, you are all making a difference and you truly are the answer to my prayers.

To the anonymous donor that gave me an iPad 2, you have given me such a wonder gift, for people with disabilities technology is a great friend. I can do things I never dreamed of being able to do. Thank you! And to all the wonder businesses that donated food and a very cool limo ride, thank you! Mr. Guerin from the Underpass Lounge, thank you offering your very nice place to be used for the fundraiser, you are awesome! And thank you to all the Leyden High School people that supported me, I love you all very much. I ask Franklin Park residents to please continue to care about each other, like Mrs. Brimie, Mrs. Stocks and DJ Ron did for me, without even knowing me. I am so blessed to be a part of this community, God Bless you all.
